EPA Carpet Cleaning Frequency Guidelines
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) offers these guidelines, adopted by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), for carpet cleaning frequencies in relation to public health.
Indoor Air Quality
Indoor Air Quality is a growing health concern in relation to employee well-being and productivity. Carpet and upholstered furniture trap and release dirt, old, mildew, dust mites, and other allergens throughout the day. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states regular and proper carpet maintenance effectively removes pollutants preventing reintroduction into the environment.
